Delivery Policy

Delivery Policy

We aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank holidays), subject to stock availability. While we make every effort to meet this timeframe, during peak periods, sales or unforeseen circumstances (including events of force majeure), dispatch times may be longer. Customers will be notified promptly of any significant delays.

UK Delivery

(Including Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands)

  • Standard Delivery: Free - Estimated 2-4 working days. Please note that delivery to remote areas may take longer.
  • Next Working Day Delivery: Cost incurred - Orders placed Monday–Friday before 10 am will be dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 10 am will be processed the next working day. This service is available for most UK locations; however, some remote areas may be excluded. Please check at checkout for availability and additional costs.

Our standard delivery service is primarily handled by Royal Mail, but we may use alternative couriers (e.g., DPD, Parcel Force) depending on the parcel size, weight and destination to ensure efficient delivery.

International Delivery

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination, parcel size and weight.

  • International Tracked & Signed: Estimated 3-11 working days.

International delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Actual delivery times may be affected by customs processing times in the destination country. We use reputable international couriers (e.g., DHL, FedEx) but are not responsible for delays caused by the courier or customs procedures.

Duties & Taxes

When shipping internationally, your order may be subject to import duties, taxes or customs clearance fees imposed by the destination country’s government. These charges are not included in our prices and all international orders ship on a Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) basis.

This means that the recipient is responsible for any applicable import duties, taxes or handling fees, which must be paid before the parcel is released from customs. We recommend checking with your local customs office for specific information on charges and thresholds.

For EU orders, VAT may be applied at the point of delivery, depending on the destination country’s regulations.

Certain countries, such as the United States, have a "de minimis" value, meaning shipments below a certain value may be exempt from duties and taxes.

Solway Blankets cannot accept liability for any customs-related charges, delays, or issues arising from international shipments. We are also unable to provide specific estimates for duties or taxes.

Liability

Solway Blankets is not liable for any delays, loss or damage to goods in transit that are caused by events outside of our reasonable control. Our liability for any claim related to a delivery shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods.

Data Protection

We use your personal data (name, address, contact details) to fulfil your order and provide delivery services. Your data is shared with our delivery partners for this purpose. For more information on how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy.

Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email, allowing you to track the progress of your delivery.
